Martha Baldwin Beveridge
1941 - 2008

Martha B. Beveridge, psychotherapist and nationally-recognized author, died  December 26, 2008 at the age of 67.

Ms. Beveridge was a Phi Beta Kappa and honors graduate of Wellesley College in Massachusetts, and she held a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Louisville.

Martha devoted more than 30 years to helping others through her private practice, as a radio talk show host, and as a guest on popular national television talk shows. She was the author of four books, including The Heart of Healing: Facing Cancer and Other Life-Threatening Diseases.

Martha had a great compassion in her work and always felt blessed to help others find peace and joy in their lives.  She was honored four times as one of "Fifty Making A Difference" by the Oklahoma Journal Record Woman of the Year program, and was a winner of the Laymen's Award for Outstanding Contribution to Law and Justice from the Oklahoma County Bar Association. Ms. Beveridge served as President of the Association of Imago Relationship Therapy and received the Association's Distinguished Service Award. Martha was a loving mother of two and grandmother of seven.
